I am not much of a football fan, but as one who grew up in South Bend, and who is related to several graduates of Notre Dame, I especially enjoyed Lou Holtz’s heartfelt and articulate defense of free speech and his rejection of the efforts to cancel the leprechaun of the fighting Irish.
